Take One Project – June 2011

The schoolchildren at Knights Templar First School, Watchet, were asked to take part in the Take One Project which is a scheme challenging children to “take one object” and create their own version. They studied the alabaster model of St Decuman’s Church, which is displayed in the Watchet Market House Museum.

The Take One Project was pioneered by the National Gallery and funded by the Museum, Libraries and Archives. Natalie Watson of the Somerset Heritage and Libraries Service, which supported the Watchet Project, was delighted with the standard of work produced.

The exhibition was held in the Holy Cross Chapel, by kind permission of the Rev Bethan Gutteridge of St Decuman’s Church.
